Faith & Digital Flames is built so that your devotional practice stays between you and your prayer. This page describes exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.
NO ACCOUNT, NO DATA COLLECTION
Faith & Digital Flames does not require an account or sign-in, and does not collect your personal data. All app data — candle activations, private prayer intentions, notification preferences, and onboarding status — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData, Keychain, and UserDefaults frameworks. None of it is transmitted to Red Static Studio or to any third party.
PRIVATE INTENTIONS
Any intention you write is private by default. It is never included in notifications, widgets, analytics, logs, or any shared or public feed, and it is never transmitted off your device.
NO ADVERTISING, TRACKING, OR ANALYTICS
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected.
IN-APP PURCHASES
Seven-day devotional candles are purchased through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction and your payment details directly; Red Static Studio never receives your payment card information. We receive only the transaction information needed to verify your purchase and activate the correct candle.
NOTIFICATIONS
If you choose to enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification framework. Reminder notifications never include your private intention text.
WIDGETS
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read a lightweight snapshot of your currently active candle (saint name, day number, and devotional excerpt) through an iOS App Group container shared only between the app and its own widget extension on your device. This snapshot never leaves your device and is never sent to Red Static Studio or any third party.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Faith & Digital Flames is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated and, for material changes, we will provide notice within the app.
